Your first visit

A full hour, step by step

Your first visit is an hour long, and the same therapist is with you for all of it.

  1. 01

    Step 1: The phone call

A free 15-minute phone call, if you would like one. It is about fit. It is not an evaluation or treatment.

  2. 02

    Step 2: You arrive

Come a few minutes early. We show you around and answer your questions.

  3. 03

    Step 3: You talk

Your goals, your history and what a normal week looks like.

  4. 04

    Step 4: You move

Your therapist checks how you walk, squat, reach and balance, and starts hands-on care where it helps.

  5. 05

    Step 5: You plan

A plan in writing, a short home program and what to expect next.

Getting ready

What to wear and bring

  • Wear

Clothes you can move in and shoes you can walk in. We can work with what you have.

  • Bring

Any reports or scans you have, and what you want to get back to doing.

  • Questions

Write them down. We leave time for them, and none is too small.

  • Getting here

Street and garage parking are nearby. The studio page has directions.

Day one

What is not decided on your first day

We do not decide your whole plan, how many visits you will need or whether a longer plan suits you on day one. You decide what comes next after you have felt what a visit is like.

If something would be better looked at by a doctor first, we say so, and we help you work out what to ask.

  • Your plan is written down, and you keep a copy

  • You can say stop at any time

  • You get a written estimate before your first visit
